Axiom Group’s in-house tooling facility, Intex, offers over 125 years of experience and expertise in machine tooling. Coupled with the latest engineering systems and manufacturing principles, Axiom can take any program from product development through to the final tool build. Our starting point is knowledge. Add experience, a proven process, and unparalleled product development capabilities and you have a full-service advanced engineering team ready to work for you.
Combining our experienced tool-room personnel (mould makers, coders, machine operators, & technicians) with our advanced machinery (hoisting systems, EDM machines, CNC mills), qualifies us to take over and deliver even the most critical and complex tooling projects.
Axiom Group’s extensive tooling capabilities and expertise ensure that your programs will always deliver as promised.
We can produce extraordinarily small plastic parts with extreme precision that incorporate micro features and moulding in and around existing components. We can also create components using intricate lead frames or inserts.
Depending on lead time, production requirements, or desired price per piece our tooling engineers can develop custom high cavity or low cavity moulds perfect for making the most compex components.
Conventional valve-gated systems have a tough time handling complex tooling challenges. With sequential valve gating, or SVG, adding a programmed time sequence to the opening and closing of valve gates expands your capabilities.
A proven technology that is used across many industries, multi-shot moulding allows multiple materials to be injected into separate locations on the same mould. This allows multiple surfaces, even incompatible materials, to be securely bonded into a single component that is stronger and more durable than its two-piece counterpart.
If needed, aluminum tooling allows for potential changes during the development process (e.g. if prototype iterations are to be made during injection moulding). In general, aluminum tools are easier to machine than steel tooling, and so iterative design changes can be done more quickly.
Every tooling project is managed by a dedicated team of project managers. In collaboration with our design and production teams, your project manager will navigate and govern all commercial, technical and timing aspects of the project, assuring every budgetary goal and deadline is met and that the finished product stands up to our rigorous quality assurance standards.
Put Axiom Group’s vertically integrated design, development, and production teams to work on your next program. No matter what you need, we have the expertise and experience to perform.
